The Annapolis Valley Amateur Radio Club (ACARC) will hold its annual Field Day in Annapolis Royal this year.

When:  1500 (3:00 PM) Saturday 24 June to 1500 Sunday 25 June 2017.

Where:  AVARC Field Day be held in the soccer field beside the Annapolis West Education Centre (AWEC), 100 Champlain Drive in Annapolis Royal.  To get there, take Exit 22 off Highway 101 and head towards downtown.  Champlain Drive is off St. Patrick’s Lane.

Category:  AVARC will operate in the Two Alpha (2A) Category using the callsign VA1AVR.  One station will be dedicated to voice and digital modes, and the other will employ CW.  There will be a GOTA station capable of using voice and digital modes.  It will use the callsign VE1FAL.  Depending on interest and propagation, there may be a 6M station.

Talk-in:  We will monitor 146.58 MHz Simplex as a talk-in frequency.  Visitors are very welcome!

Due to unforseen circumstances, the Field Day exercises scheduled by the St. Croix Valley Amateur Radio Club have been on CANCELLED for 2017. 

However, amateur examinations will still take place as scheduled: 3:00 pm (EDT) on Saturday, June 24 at the Alexander Elementary School.
